Finally, WhatsApp has released the highly anticipated Mac chat theme update for the Mac app. This new feature allows users to customize their chats as they wish, just like on the mobile app. Now, you can change chat bubbles and backgrounds on Mac with 38 different color options and pre-made themes.
How to use WhatsApp chat themes for Mac?
This update aims to increase consistency within the Apple ecosystem. Mac users now have the same theme customization options as on mobile devices. Users can completely customize the appearance of their chats by using pre-made themes or manually selecting one of 38 different colors. The chosen color creates a cohesive visual style for the message bubbles and background.
This WhatsApp update isn’t limited to pre-made themes. In addition to 22 predefined theme combinations, users can also manually adjust chat colors if they wish. A full 38 color options are available. Options include adjusting the background brightness and uploading your own image as a background.
The customization options don’t just extend to general settings. With this new feature, users can also set unique themes for individual chats. For example, you can assign a formal color scheme to a chat with colleagues and a more vibrant one to a chat with family. This allows you to easily visually distinguish different conversations and add a personal touch to the app.
Accessing the new customization tool is quite easy. Explore all available customization tools by going to Settings > Chats. This feature is currently being gradually rolled out to WhatsApp for Mac users. Beta users may have access to this feature sooner. So, if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure your app is up to date.
